Vector Fleet Management, an Amerit Fleet Solutions Company, is seeking a Light/Medium Duty Diesel Mechanic  to join our team in the Fort Lauderdale, FL area.  If you have at least five years of proven Diesel Mechanic experience with both on-and off-highway equipment or have graduated from a Trade School for Mechanics, Vector Fleet Management wants to hear from you! CDL “A or B” is a real plus! 
 

Compensation: Competitive Hourly Pay - Paid weekly, every Friday! Pay range: $20.00-30.00 per hour, depending on experience and certifications!

 

Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm

What our ideal candidate looks like:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Diesel Mechanic should have a minimum of five years hands-on experience
  • Must have the ability to diagnose and repair diesel powered heavy/medium duty trucks and off-highway equipment
  • Experience with on and off-road equipment such as, trailers, generators, motor graders, back-hoes, loaders, etc. is highly desirable
  • Experience in medium or heavy diesel preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and troubleshooting, AC, electrical, fuel, and hydraulic systems
  • Complete set of hand tools and wheeled tool box suitable for daily use
  • Acceptable driving record and pass drug test and background check
  • Diesel Mechanic with OEM training and/or ASE certifications are preferred

Working Conditions:

 

  • Exposure to heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job.
  • Exposure to considerable amounts of dust, diesel fumes and noise.
  • Exposure to chemicals, oils, greases or other irritants
  • Access any area of the equipment or vehicle to perform necessary maintenance
  • Ability to move and position heavy objects
  • Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, kneel and crawl to repair vehicles
  • Ability to work outside in various weather conditions.
